RN Desk: bKash has organized a two-day long annual seminar to boost skills of all employees engaged in Anti Money Laundering and Combating the Financing of Terrorism (AML andCFT) compliance functions.
The seminar brought together employees from the AML and CFT department, including those stationed in various regions, to address current compliance challenges, explore new products and services, and discuss the latest developments implemented this year, according to a press release. The seminar also outlined organisational and compliance priorities for the upcoming year, reaffirming bKash’s dedication to upholding regulations and compliance in all its activities for the benefit of its customers and stakeholders.
Kamal Quadir, chief executive officer of bKash; Major General Sheikh Md Monirul Islam (retd), chief external and Corporate Affairs Officer (CECAO) and Chief Anti-Money Laundering and Compliance Officer (CAMLCO); and other high officials of bKash were present at the seminar held in Dhaka on Wednesday and Thursday (11 & 12 December 2024).
Various aspects of AML and CFT compliance programme were analysed and discussed during the seminar, keeping the compliance officers updated with recent developments in systems and solutions.
As a reporting organisation, bKash has developed dedicated compliance teams deployed in various regions of the country – in line with the recommendations of regulatory organization.
