RN Desk: Students from the Faculty of Animal Science and Veterinary Medicine at Patuakhali Science and Technology University (PSTU) have earned the opportunity to participate in an international internship program at Thailand’s prestigious Mahasarakham University.
Mahasarakham University, a royal public university in Mahasarakham Province, Thailand, is internationally recognized for its excellence in higher education and research. Its Faculty of Veterinary Science is highly acclaimed worldwide and provides an ideal environment for education and practical training.
A total of 28 students from the DVM 17th batch of PSTU have been selected for this internship program. They are divided into two groups:
Group A will participate from March 17 to March 27, 2025
Group B will participate from March 28 to April 11, 2025
The internship will be conducted under the Faculty of Veterinary Science at Mahasarakham University, where students will gain hands-on experience in pet internal medicine, surgery, and inpatient care.
The selected students expressed their immense joy and gratitude to the honorable Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dr. Kazi Rafiqul Islam, Registrar Professor Dr. Md. Iktiar Uddin, and all the faculty members of the Faculty of Animal Science and Veterinary Medicine for their support and motivation. They acknowledged that this opportunity was made possible due to the continuous guidance and encouragement from their mentors.
Rokonuzzaman, along with other students from the DVM 17th batch, shared their excitement, stating, “This achievement will not only enhance our individual skills and knowledge but also serve as an inspiration for our junior students. Seeing our success, they will be motivated to improve their own skills and strive for international exposure in the veterinary field.”
Regarding this international internship program, Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Kazi Rafiqul Islam remarked, “The participation of our students in this prestigious program is undoubtedly a matter of pride for PSTU. Gaining hands-on experience at an internationally recognized institution like Mahasarakham University will significantly enhance their skills and knowledge. We look forward to expanding such international collaborations in the future, which will help our students become world-class veterinary professionals.”
He further emphasized that this initiative creates a unique opportunity for students, connecting their academic knowledge with real-world experiences. The Vice-Chancellor expressed optimism that through globally recognized training, PSTU students will contribute significantly to the field of veterinary medicine both at home and abroad.
